Hi, I’m Christen.  You want me on your trivia team.

I started this blog in the summer of 2008 as a way to document life as a newly-single city girl living in the country. I got drunk and fell down a lot. Somewhere along the way I met a lovely man, we got married (on October 1, 2010), and I discovered that while I hated being engaged and being a Bride I really enjoy being married. I know: barf. But I still get drunk and fall down sometimes.

My husband, Ed, and I now live in the San Francisco Bay Area with our Boston Terrier, Molly.   We are the kinds of assholes who refer to ourselves as “Mommy” and “Daddy” with her.  

My likes include references to 80’s sitcoms, John Hughes movies, cheese, pretty scarves, taco trucks, and Jon Stewart.  My dislikes are raw tomatoes, excessive cologne or perfume, people who are mean to animals, stepping on ginko berries, cold feet, and anyone touching my eyeball.

An ideal day would include good food, good wine, good friends and a nap.
